This stunning new construction home by Pulte Homes is situated in the Sterling at West Hills development. The clients were a young family who loved their new home but wanted something with more of a grand look that still had a family-friendly layout.
With that in mind, the build started with removing the front entry stairs and replacing them with fresca natural stone steps. The Green Scene team then added stacked stone pillars and planters for an elegantly inviting look. To complete the welcoming feel, the front yard was then jam-packed with brightly colored plants including: jacaranda, hibiscus patio trees, icee blue podocarpus, foxglove (digitalis), day lilies, and crystal palace lobelia.
For the backyard, the clients were looking for a family friendly set-up with a dramatic, fire-enhanced flair. This is where the theme “Desire for Fire” truly comes into play.
Despite its modest size, this backyard space truly packs a punch. In the design we were able to incorporate all of the features the client was hoping for including a pool, raised dual-sided infinity spa with sparkling Fujiwa tiles, and a recessed fire feature 18 inches below the pool, and a 32 inch Sunstone Ruby grill. The fire feature, with seating for a dozen, creates a spectacular reflection of dancing flames over the water at night.
As with all of The Green Scene builds, sound plays a large role in the overall delight of the design. The faux wood tile planters house sheer waterfalls that gracefully cascade into the pool below. Combined with the sounds from the infinity spa spilling over into the Finest Finish Interior Pebble pool, guests cannot help but be charmed by all of the sights and sounds of this incredible space.
