Scott Cohen says, “When I first saw this Northridge, CA backyard, all I knew was that this family really needed our help. After hearing their wishes for a natural swimming pool, spa, water slide, outdoor kitchen, residential putting green, and sandbox for their kids, I created a design right out of Robinson Crusoe! Both the “shipwreck” faux wood concrete spa and the “dock” dining patio are made from stamped and stained concrete. The award winning swimming pool has a large Baja shelf and there is a hidden cave under the steps leading to the water slide. Artificial grass was used in the yard and the nearby putting green to accommodate the client’s grass allergies. An outdoor kitchen, sandpit for the kids to play in, and a fire pit complete the adventure island backyard retreat!”
