Streams Come True

Winner of the Best Residential Water Feature from United Aqua Group in their national competition!

Small backyard design at its best – every inch matters in small space design, which makes it much more challenging than a large yard. Thoughtful detail and careful intention are required to make sure that a small backyard feels just as spacious and welcoming as a large backyard.  The talented pool of experts at the Green Scene streamlined this design to fit every desired feature perfectly in the limited space, and transformed it into a clean-lined contemporary backyard.

We utilized the pool’s raised bond beam as retaining walls to create a stunning waterfall feature for the contemporary pool and infinity-edge spa. The clean line design of the hardscaping adds a modern flair while the landscaping softens any sharp edges. Low voltage LED lighting in the landscaping is used to create focal points of carefully placed trees and shrubs.

This lighting technique is used throughout the yard to highlight the best features, and also serves as a stylish safety feature. Thanks to these lights, family and guests alike can easily make their way to two important backyard areas: A contemporary firepit with seating area, and the outdoor kitchen that is equipped with a kegerator for serving up frosty beverages.

Though the space was limited, there’s now unlimited possibility to relax and enjoy this small backyard. This remodel proves that “streams” really do come true with The Green Scene team!

We are flattered by the volume of requests for consultations we are currently receiving daily. It’s nice to be popular, but due to overwhelming demand we are currently accepting projects only in the brand-new construction neighborhoods in which we are actively working; Westcliffe Toll Brothers (Porter Ranch), Canyon Oaks & Encore Toll Brothers (Chatsworth), Hillcrest Toll Brothers (Porter Ranch), Deerlake Ranch (Crestley and Landsea homes in Chatsworth), and Sterling Hills Pulte Homes (West Hills).

Outside of new construction, we have a “Special Projects Consultation Wait List” for clients with unique high-end projects that don’t mind waiting a bit for us to catch up.
