Yard Shame to Wall of Fame

This unloved Burbank backyard suffered years of neglect before the homeowners called us in to rescue it and create a family fun spot.

At the back of the house there was an awkward step landing 18” high that was too tall for their little dog to get in and out of the house easily. The backyard was full of garage sale leftovers and recycled cans.

Good design is all about solving problems and addressing site conditions. Our solution was to install a raised deck at the back of the house with an infinity spa that spills over into the pool. The clean contemporary lines of the pool are balanced with raised plinths that support fire on one side and a water fountain on the other. This yard has all modern amenities with a pool, spa, built in cocktail table, lounging baja shelf, BBQ, and serve bar.
